The Stroke Association
Thames Bridges bike ride 2011
This year, Lisa Regan – who some of you
may also know as ‘the wordy bird’ from
some of our writing projects – will be
cycling over 30 miles along the River
Thames this May to raise money for the
Stroke Association. It's not the first time
she has done it, so she knows what she
is letting herself in for – and still doing it!
If you’d like to support Lisa and the
Stroke Association, here is a link to her
Just Giving page. We promise to show an
‘after’ pic after the deed is done! www.justgiving.com/wordybird

A little goes a long way…
We were pleased to be able to give Sharon
Blackman, who creates wonderful collage
pictures out of fabrics, threads and buttons,
a huge bag of leftover wool and fabrics for
her work with good causes. When we
received a thank you card telling us how it
was to be used we were delighted: to knit
sensory scarves for children in Bulgarian
orphanages and centres for the disabled;
a start-up knitting group in Chelmsford and
for knitted teddies for traumatised children.
So thank you to everyone who allowed
us to pass these leftovers on.
Wedding bells
As promised, here are Patsy (above) and
Margaret (right) as blushing mothers of
the bride and groom respectively in their
glamorous wedding outfits from last year. Who says the bride deserves all the limelight? Also congratulations to Caroline Birkett who got married on Christmas Eve – that should be an easy date to remember!
Football update
For those who follow football, Glenn is now playing for
Conference South side Braintree Town FC, who are currently
at the top of the league. After signing for The Iron (which Kirsty refuses to cheer at games, as Spurs' London rivals, West Ham,
have almost the same nickname) at the beginning of February,
he made his debut against Welling United, scoring two goals
and helping his team to a 3-1 win.
Cine style
After having made the decision to develop instructional videos several years ago, we have honed our skills and would like to share our latest offerings, ‘how to wallpaper a wall’ and ‘how to make a beaded heart’. We hope that you find them interesting and helpful. Do contact us if you feel that we can create some videos for web or DVD to give your new or existing titles an extra dimension. There are more examples on the Multimedia section of our Portfolio page.
Kilimanjaro Climb
Those of you following Simon’s Kilimanjaro Climb for the Firefighters Charity will be pleased to know that he and his team triumphed over altitude sickness and ‘summitted’ (technical term) after a four-day hike and managed to raise their target £15,000. Thankfully the two days going down was much easier going.
On the run
Claire and Suzie from the office are deep into their training for the Brentwood Half Marathon – a notoriously hilly run – on Sunday 20th March and have yet to decide on their charities. They are currently up to 10 miles on a training run, so working up an extra three miles in three weeks should be a doddle, eh girls? Watch this space…
IMP visit
We had a lovely start to the year when Kristina Jakobsson and Cecilia Kongini visited from IMP’s head office in Malmö, Sweden. It was great to be
able to show them a broader spectrum of our
work and hear about the latest at IMP.
News Page
The Creative Plus team like to keep in touch with old hands and they also enjoy a good day (and night) out
and this page is dedicated to keeping everyone informed of what we've all been up to. We even have two
company mascots, the delightful Woof and Buddy, who you may hear or even meet occasionally...
