A new venture
We are so excited for Tessa and Jessica Dennison who have just moved into their 'new' office in Kenmare and set up as Dennison Design. The ground floor is going to house a shop selling utterly beautiful and carefully selected jewellery and other desirables, and upstairs Tess and Jess will run the design business and photographic studio. You may know that the Dennisons have had a gruelling year since their son Corey (16) has been going through treatment for cancer; his prognosis is good and the new venture is a prime example of the Dennison get-up-and-go!
We were delighted to see these pictures of Amanda and Dave's wedding in July - with daughters Naomi and Anna as bridesmaids. Spot the ‘difference’: Dave is hardly a blushing bride groom, but we’re pleased to see his shoes match his dandy suit! We send our warmest congratulations to the family.
Welcome Laura
Please meet Laura Faulder who has joined us as our Office PA l.faulder@creative-plus.co.uk. Laura has come from a large and formal company in the educational sector, so she has had a baptism of fire into the our busy, small, informal team. No doubt you will be (e)meeting her soon...
Congratulations Helen
We are very pleased to announce Helen’s promotion to IT Manager in recognition of all of her invaluable tech support and trouble-shooting skills that she provides in-house and to our freelance team. Helen juggles her IT commitments in addition to her main editorial role working on our partworks and handling our TLM books.
Knit Show at Bristol
Margaret and Beth attended the trade Knit Show in Bristol in June to meet with our yarn suppliers and see their gorgeous new yarns. They took husbands Ian and Dick along for the weekend, but let them off attending the fair (they seemed happy to spend the time smoking cigars and drinking whisky, instead). Here they all are at the impressive Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Choosing the sunshine
While Beth and Ian were on holiday in the South of France they met up with Danielle and Aubrey Lawrence, who run Rosetta Translations from their home in Brue-Auriac, north of Toulon.

Mark and Ian from our accountants (Mark second left, standing; Ian second left, kneeling) attended the Oval Test Match against South Africa dressed a Boer War soldiers as part of the Barmy Army. Ian admitted the whole event was slightly blurry but we can certainly say that these boys cut a better dash than the England team did on the field…
